Washdown Motors
This standard range of premium hygienic Washdown Motors are perfect for use in demanding applications in the Food & Beverage, Meat & Poultry, Marine, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industries. They are ideal for applications that have direct contact with food products which require washdown under high pressure and are available with ATEX and IP69k protection.
The washdown motor range includes:
- Aluminum (APM-Series) and Stainless Steel (SPM-Series) versions
- In metric (IEC B14, B5 and B3) and NEMA (56C, 143TC, 145TC and 182TC) flanges
- With powers up to 4.0 hp AC (three phase) and voltages of 230, 400 & 575V AC
- Available in 2, 4 & 6 pole versions (3,600 rpm, 1,800 rpm and 1,200 rpm)
- TENV (totally enclosed non-ventilated) and TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled) designs
- IE4 Efficiency Class

These motors are are ideal for extreme washdown conditions. Smooth surfaces and stainless steel are perfect for where the hygienic requirements are strict, like in the Food and Beverage Industry, in order to avoid bacterial contamination. The motor is easy to clean and resistant to rust and corrosion.
The IP69K rating provides ultimate protection against high pressure (100 bar) hot water (80°C) sprays.
Meat & poultry, dairy, seafood equipments are very demanding in terms of corrosion resistance: our motors can face these challenges.
They are totally enclosed non-ventilated IC410 (TENV) and have hygienic smooth surfaces.

These motors have clean, smooth shape which helps reduce dust accumulation and are ideal where hot water wash down is used (without aggressive detergents).
They are totally enclosed non-ventilated IC410 (TENV) and have hygienic smooth surfaces with no ribs or fins.
These motors are designed with die cast aluminum rotor, precision balanced G2.5 according to ISO1940-1 2003.
They have protective high-resistance coating with anodized body and special coating on flanges.
